Parent and child safety at HabitPaws.
The product is designed around a parent account. This page explains the boundaries we are preparing before any advertising is enabled.
Our starting position
HabitPaws is a family routine tool, not a child social network. The demo can be explored without registration. A saved family space is created and controlled by an adult account using an email address and password; a child nickname is optional.
What a child account does not need
- No child email address is required.
- No child’s full legal name, photo, birthday, location, or contacts are requested for the core experience.
- Children do not receive an independent public profile or a public messaging inbox.
- The feedback board is for signed-in parent accounts and new posts are held for moderation.
Age and audience treatment
HabitPaws is written for parents and families, while the app includes child-friendly routines and visuals. Until the owner completes a legal and account review, the advertising configuration remains disabled. If advertising is later enabled, the family dashboard will remain an ad-free, child-directed surface and will not use personalised advertising or behavioural remarketing.
Public parent guides may be read by anyone. A Google-certified consent flow such as Google Privacy & Messaging must be configured and reviewed before any ad tag is added. Contextual, non-personalised treatment is the conservative default for family-related content.
Parent responsibility and control
Parents choose routines, manage the companion, adjust stars, and decide whether the tool fits their child. HabitPaws does not diagnose, treat, or make clinical claims about attention, behaviour, learning, or health. Rewards are intended to make effort visible; they are not a substitute for care, professional advice, or a family conversation.
Feedback and community safety
Product feedback is not published immediately. It is stored with the parent account, screened for spam and personal information, and published only after approval. We may reject content that contains a child’s private details, contact information, harmful instructions, harassment, or unrelated promotion. Please do not include a child’s full name, school, address, phone number, or health information in a post.
Questions or concerns
For product questions, use the signed-in Feedback board. Before advertising launch, the owner should add and monitor a dedicated privacy contact for access, correction, deletion, and child-safety requests. We will update this page if the product, audience, or advertising model changes.
